27 protesters prosecuted after rally in Tirana, Police: They obstructed traffic

Twenty-seven protesters have been criminally prosecuted by the Tirana Police following the rally held on June 18, 2026 in the capital.

According to the official announcement, the structures of the Tirana Local Police Directorate have identified the persons suspected of being involved in actions that, according to the police, violated public order and security during the rally.

The police inform that the prosecuted citizens have caused obstruction of the circulation of means of transport and disturbance of public order and peace, by directing the participants in the rally to move to different axes of the city, beyond the officially announced hours and perimeter for the development of the activity.

Police Announcement:

Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out by the structures of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, in relation to the rally held on 18.06.2026, in Tirana, 27 citizens, suspected of being involved during the rally in actions that violate public order and security, have been identified and criminally prosecuted. Specifically, the following citizens have been prosecuted: GS, 44 years old; EM, 23 years old; AH, 51 years old; K. Gj., 18 years old; RM, 21 years old; MD, 22 years old; A. Gj., 19 years old; EY, 21 years old; JB, 26 years old; AG, 26 years old; AM, 38 years old; Th. D., 19 years old; KD, 21 years old; EM, 30 years old; AM, 19 years old; IH, 50 years old; BH, 34 years old; Sh. B., 33 years old; VD, 30 years old; RS, 21 years old; EQ, 21 years old; Xh. P., 27 years old; BK, 35 years old; I. Rr., 29 years old; DK, 31 years old; EK, 31 years old and EK, 32 years old. These citizens have caused obstruction of the circulation of means of transport, as well as concern for public order and peace, by directing citizens participating in the rally to move on numerous axes of the capital, exceeding the officially announced hours and perimeter of movement. Also, 1 vehicle has been seized. Work continues to identify and prosecute other citizens responsible for illegal actions during the rally. The procedural materials will be referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action. Tirana Police appeals to the organizers of the rally and its participants to respect the announced schedule and itinerary for the rally, so as not to block the free movement of citizens and vehicles outside the perimeter of the rally.
