Protest in front of the Parliament,
19 people arrested; 12 others prosecuted
The State Police has reacted to the protest held the day before near the Albanian Parliament, announcing that 19 people have been arrested and 12 others have been criminally prosecuted for various illegal actions during the rally.
The arrested are: Gentjan Progni, Durim Bami, Kujtim Pervataj, Romario Dushi, Ardit Ymaj, Niko Qarkaj, Ylli Shima, Ervis Gjoni, Frrok Bardhi, Rezart Pirani, Admir Tershalla, Alban Nikolli, Elvis Bici, Altin Hila, Ervin Gega, Arben Lleshaj, Everes Bardhi, Besard Kajmi, Aristotel Elezaj.
According to the official announcement, the arrested are accused of having opposed and hit police officers with hard objects, damaged a police vehicle, while some of them have also attacked members of the Albanian Parliament. Among those arrested is citizen A. Ll., 35 years old, suspected of having hit a journalist during the protest.
The police report that 15 police officers were injured in the clashes recorded during the rally, while a State Police vehicle was also damaged.
Meanwhile, 12 citizens have been criminally prosecuted at large, while the investigative group continues to work to identify six other people who, according to the Police, were documented on film committing violent acts during the protest.
Rama attacks the protests again

Prime Minister Rama has reacted again to the protests held on the boulevard, as yesterday was the 33rd day of the rally.
Rama again attacked the citizens and stated that beyond the citizens' concerns, "failures and angry people" have also been involved in the rallies.
During the speech given at the third edition of Public Administration Week, the head of government added that the protests should be analyzed in their entirety, as, according to him, they contain real concerns of citizens and other elements from which politics and administration should learn lessons.
"Transformimi i administratës është një proces mjaft kompleks. Nuk bëhet fjalë për krijimin e mekanizmave që lidhen me shumë njerëz dhe po të kthehemi për një moment mbrapa dhe të kujtohemi se ligji i parë themelor i administratës sonë publike është aprovuar një dekadë më parë, atëherë ne mund të kuptojmë se çfarë ka ndodhur. Ndërkohë që në numrin e përgjithshëm të administratës kemi dhjetëra mijëra. Ne kemi sot një kualitet të ri në administratën shtetërore, ne kemi sot një sfidë shumë të madhe përballë qytetarëve. Duke qenë se jemi në një moment specifik, intensiv, të rrugëtimit tonë si shoqëri, më lejoni që të sjell këtu një episod nga shumë episode që ne po përpiqemi të lexojmë protestën e bulevardit. Përveç shqetësimeve të qytetarëve që unë e quaj ujin e pastër të protestës, nën atë koren e zezë ku janë mbledhur të gjithë dështakët dhe zemërakët. Në atë rrjedhë ka shumë për të mësuar", tha Rama.

Kreu i SPAK: Jepni zgjidhje për mandatin e prokurorëve, rrezikohen hetimet
Drejtuesi i SPAK, Klodian Braho, ngriti shqetësimin për statusin e prokurorëve të posaçëm pas përfundimit të mandatit 9-vjeçar, gjatë raportimit të tij në Komisionin e Ligjeve për veprimtarinë e institucionit në vitin 2025.
Sipas Brahos, mungesa e një zgjidhjeje të qartë ligjore për të ardhmen e prokurorëve të posaçëm mund të cenojë vijimësinë e hetimeve dhe të dëmtojë ruajtjen e ekspertizës së krijuar ndër vite brenda SPAK-ut. Ai kujtoi se Kushtetuta parashikon një mandat 9-vjeçar pa të drejtë riemërimi, por theksoi se, pas disa vitesh funksionimi të institucionit, ky model duhet të rivlerësohet.
Kjo çështje është ngritur më herët edhe nga ish-drejtuesi i SPAK, Altin Dumani, i cili kishte sugjeruar që prokurorëve të posaçëm t’u jepet mundësia e rikandidimit pas përfundimit të mandatit.
Gjatë raportimit, Braho prezantoi edhe të dhënat mbi aktivitetin e SPAK gjatë vitit 2025. Ai bëri të ditur se institucioni ka hetuar gjithsej 871 procedime penale, nga të cilat 577 janë mbartur nga viti 2024 dhe 294 janë çështje të reja. Krahasuar me një vit më parë, volumi i hetimeve është rritur me 4.9%, ndërsa janë përfunduar 216 procedime.
Braho vlerësoi se korrupsioni vijon të mbetet një fenomen shqetësues, ndërsa theksoi se grupet e krimit të organizuar po operojnë me struktura gjithnjë e më të sofistikuara, duke përdorur komunikime të enkriptuara, transaksione informale dhe investime në pasuri të paluajtshme.

Klodian Braho: Jemi në fazën e fundit të thirrjeve për 40 hetues shtesë
Kreu i Prokurorisë së Posaçme, Klodian Braho, raportoi këtë të premte në Komisionin e Ligjeve mbi aktivitetin e institucionit, duke paraqitur zhvillimet kryesore në hetime, organizimin e Byrosë Kombëtare të Hetimit dhe rezultatet e proceseve gjyqësore.
Braho announced that SPAK has completed drafting the strategy for reducing backlogged cases for the period 2025-2027, emphasizing that its implementation has brought concrete results.
"We are in the final phase of the calls for 40 new investigators. In addition to filling vacancies, the aim is to reorganize the BKH structures," said Braho.
During the report, he also focused on strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, noting the expansion of joint investigative teams.
Regarding the work of SPAK in the court, Braho said that the indicators have remained stable, while the number of decisions of the Special Court has increased by 5.5 percent.
"87% of the decisions have been found guilty by the court," emphasized the head of SPAK.
He added that the increased workload has not affected the quality of investigations.
