The fire in the Drenova area of Mallakastra has reached alarming proportions, and the situation has deteriorated significantly in recent hours. Dozens of firefighting forces from Mallakastra, Fier, Patos, Albpetrol, municipalities and army personnel are engaged in the field to deal with the rapidly spreading flames.
Despite aerial interventions, including the use of helicopters, the fire remains out of control due to strong winds, which have favored the spread of flames across a vast area of forest and pastures.
Emergency services are working intensively to prevent the fire from approaching residential areas, while the risk to homes remains real if the situation is not brought under control in the coming hours.
Local authorities have called for vigilance and cooperation from the community, while the possibility of evacuation is not ruled out if the fire advances further.
