
During the last 24 hours, 17 fires have been reported, of which 4 are still active, covering significant areas of forest and vegetation.
Fires have been recorded in 16 municipalities; Dibër, Bulqizë, Mat, Vau i Dejës, Mallakastër, Lezhë, Mirditë, Gjirokastër, Përmet, Himarë, Finiq, Krujë, Tirana, Kavajë, Rrogozhinë and Berat.
So far, the Ministry of Defense has reported that over 381 hectares and over 1,000 olive trees have been burned. Meanwhile, four fires are still active. Lure National Park, Dibër – In the “Lake of Flowers” area, the intervention to extinguish the fire is continuing, which has covered about 200 hectares of pine and beech forests.
Peladhi Mountain, Bulqizë, in the Zerqan administrative unit, where efforts continue to extinguish the reactivated fire, which has spread over about 30 hectares of bushes and vegetation.
Qafa e Laçit, Vau i Dejës, where since July 15, the fire has burned about 25 hectares of oaks, holm oaks and grass. Extinguishing the fire remains a challenge due to the steep terrain.
Drenova, Mallakastër, in this hearth, near a gas well, over 120 hectares of bushes, pine trees and over 1000 olive trees have burned. Due to the strong wind and difficult terrain, the situation is considered critical.
