A hearing will be held today at the Special Appeal Court for the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, who is requesting a change in his security measures.
The court will review the former president's appeal against the decision that left him in detention since October 21, 2024.
Meta has also addressed the Constitutional Court, where he is requesting the annulment of the February 27 decision of the Supreme Court, which left him in prison as a precautionary measure, as well as the reversal of the decisions at the lower levels, that of the Special Court of Appeal on November 19, 2024 and of the First Instance on October 20 and 23, 2024.
Former President Meta and his ex-wife, Monika Kryemadhi, have been indicted by SPAK for corruption, money laundering and failure to declare assets.
