Today, the CEO of SIGAL Insurance Group, Mr. Avni Ponari, was awarded the Gratitude Award, in honor and recognition of his contribution to the economic, social and cultural life of the city of Pristina and Kosovo.
This honorary award was presented to Mr. Ponari by the Mayor of Prishtina, Mr. Përparim Rama, with a warm reception.
Mr. Rama expressed high appreciation for Mr. Ponari's contribution to the economic, civic and cultural life of Kosovo and conveyed his honors on behalf of the capital.
SIGAL Insurance Group, founded by Mr. Avni Ponari in 1999, entered the Kosovo market in October 2003. At that time, it began operating through two insurance companies: the first in the field of Non-Life and the other in Life Insurance.
SIGAL has since grown its presence in the insurance market in Kosovo and has positioned itself among the leaders of this sector.
Just a few years after entering the Kosovo insurance market, SIGAL consolidated itself as one of the largest insurance companies, consistently maintaining around 15% of the local market volume in a competitive environment.
This success has been the result of a commitment to service quality, efficient risk management and customer responsiveness.
The path to this success was led by the vision and leadership of Mr. Ponari, who has overcome numerous challenges to create one of the most advanced insurance groups in the region.
Today, SIGAL Insurance Group counts over 2,000 employees and agents, with a network of more than 1,000 offices operating in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia, building a strong reputation and earning the trust of thousands of citizens.
One of the fundamental values that has accompanied the company since its inception has been reliability, strengthened step by step through timely payment of claims to its customers.
Over the years, SIGAL's performance and commitment have been internationally recognized by prestigious institutions such as Business Initiative Directions, South-East Europe News, Finance Central Europe, and others. These awards confirmed the company's reputation and professional integrity in the international insurance arena.
In addition to its economic role, SIGAL Kosova has shown a continuous commitment to social responsibility, supporting projects in sports and culture, with a particular focus on basketball and Kosovar cinematography.
The support of the SIGAL Prishtina basketball team, which has won a significant number of national and regional titles, is evidence of the company's commitment to contributing to the development of young talents and the dignified representation of Kosovo in international competitions.
SIGAL has also been a sponsor of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK) for a certain period, contributing to the development of local football and supporting sports in general in the country.
For all these contributions, the Municipality of Pristina decided today to award Mr. Ponari with the Gratitude Award, leaving open once and for all the possibility of strengthening and expanding fruitful cooperation.
