Heavy rainfall has flooded several areas of the city of Vlora, while streets have turned into 'rivers'.
Currently, several streets are under water, mainly in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood, the Skela area, the "29 Nëntori" neighborhood, and the "Ismail Qemali" boulevard.
The Mayor of Vlora, Ermal Dredha, has emphasized that work is currently underway, while there are problems with the presence of water on several road axes, while about 15 apartments have also been notified of a difficult situation.
All groups are on the ground to manage the situation, while the hydropower plant is also working at capacity, with the exception of a problem at the beginning of the rainfall situation. Dredha has again called for caution as intense rainfall is expected again in Vlora during the night.
Firefighters and municipal forces are on the scene, working to clean and open manholes and drainage channels. Meanwhile, citizens have left the beach due to heavy rainfall.
