A symbolic moment of the 14th consecutive protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office was the placement of dozens of pairs of sneakers in the square in front of the institution.
Protesters described this action as a way to represent young people who have left the country in recent years due to a lack of economic and social opportunities.
The athletes lined up along the entrance to the Prime Minister's Office, creating a symbolic image of the absence of a significant part of Albanian youth. According to the participants, they represent thousands of young people who have chosen emigration as the only alternative to build their future.
Through this action, the protesters aimed to draw attention to what they consider one of the country's biggest social ills. They emphasized that the exodus of young people is affecting not only the labor market, but also Albania's economic development and long-term prospects.
