Socialist Party MP, Erion Braçe, has denounced another case of pollution in Tirana, accusing the Municipal Police, the Consumer Protection Agency and Eco Tirana of inaction.
Through a video published on social networks, Braçe shows the garbage piled up on the main street of Selita, while, according to him, Municipal Police officers are just a few meters away, without intervening.
"Either do the work, or get fired! It's that simple!", says Braçe in the video.
In the reaction accompanying the footage, the MP says that the problem lies not only with the people who pollute, but also with the institutions that, according to him, are not doing their job.
"Tirana/5, in the territory doing the work of the Municipality Police, the Consumer Protection Agency, EcoTirana; Yesterday it was cleaned, today the point in the lower part of Selita, on the main road, was polluted like this!
I told you yesterday that I have nothing to do with the filth and stench in this city; I have nothing to do with the Municipality Police that is not on duty and for work, I have nothing to do with AMK that is not on duty and for work, Eco Tirana that has not yet been here since yesterday and above all that does not put a phone number and an address for mattresses and any waste that is not inert!", he writes.
Braçe claims that while he was in the area, he managed to stop two vehicles that were attempting to unload waste, while emphasizing that the Municipal Police did not react.
"While I was standing guard upstairs and driving away two vans that wanted to dump inert waste, I, the municipal policeman, look where the Municipal Police are, in front of and amidst the lawlessness, making faces and playing with phones in the car, on the secondary road opposite Selita, at the entrance to the 'Irfan Tomini' neighborhood!
"You want more for a structure that only functions as a fine!" said the MP.
At the end of his reaction, the MP adds that the dissatisfaction of citizens is related to the malfunctioning of the responsible structures.
"So you understand that I've been saying this for a year, the dissatisfaction in this city is caused by those who don't do any work; not me who wants the work!", says Braçe.
