Miklovan Danaj, from Shkodra, is suspected of being executed due to a clash between criminal groups in cocaine trafficking. A dead body was found yesterday in Marbella, Spain, and is suspected to belong to the 30-year-old, who was reported missing without a trace since May 12 of this year by his wife.
For this reason, the Spanish police have taken the DNA of Danaj's brother and daughter, in order to compare it with the DNA of the found body, and in this way officially confirm whether the victim is the 30-year-old. According to journalist Klodiana Lala, it was Danaj's wife who reported the disappearance to the Spanish police, after losing contact for hours.
The investigation revealed that Danaj went with his wife and minor daughter to a health center and then had lunch together. According to the complaint filed with the police by the wife, Miklovani left to meet with two people, while she returned home. From that moment, the wife lost all contact, but later a person arrived at the 30-year-old's parents' house and was told not to look for him because he had been killed.
Investigations revealed that Miklovan Danaj climbed into a vehicle at first glance of his own free will and it was confirmed that the last person he met was Juxhin Drazhi, from Elvis Doç's gang, known as Visi i Pojës.
Draži, who was wanted for drug trafficking and a criminal group, was arrested at a luxury villa in Marbella and it is not yet known whether he has been questioned in connection with Danaj's case.
Albanian police are currently cooperating with Spanish authorities on the incident, after Danaj's father and brother filed a report at the Shkodra police station.
