
In the lobby of the National Opera and Ballet Theater, tributes are being held for the final farewell of Dhimitër Anagnosti, the icon of Albanian cinematography, who passed away after a long battle with a serious illness.
Actors, directors, close collaborators, well-known figures in art and politics, as well as numerous citizens, are paying their last respects today to the great master, who left behind a rich and unforgettable legacy in Albanian culture. The tributes will continue until 13:00.
Prime Minister Edi Rama also participated in the tributes in honor of the renowned director Dhimitër Anagnosti.
According to his will, Dhimitër Anagnosti will be laid to rest in Vuno, Himara, the birthplace that he always held close to his heart and which he mentioned with love throughout his life.
In honor of his figure, the Government has declared September 2 a National Day of Mourning. Flags across the country are flying at half-mast, while state institutions are holding tributes to commemorate the life and work of one of the greatest personalities of Albanian art.
