After the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office, citizens continued the march on the main axes of the capital, announcing greater participation in the next protest.
Protesters have begun marching through the streets of Tirana, after finishing their speeches in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, on the 26th day of the protest against the government.
As they moved through the capital's boulevards with banners and national flags, the participants repeatedly chanted the call "More tomorrow", sending the message that they expect an even greater turnout in the protest announced for the following day.
The march is taking place under increased security measures, with State Police officers deployed along the route to monitor the progress of the rally and guarantee public order.
During this evening's protest, organizers also announced the holding of a nationwide protest, calling on citizens from across the country to join the rallies in Tirana.
Organizers stressed that the June 27 protest aims to be the largest yet, with participation from various cities across the country. They appealed for the rally to be held peacefully and with respect for public order, underlining that the strength of the protest lies in citizen participation.
For 26 days, citizens have been protesting every evening in Tirana, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and opposing the government's policies. During this period, marches have been held on the main streets of the capital, speeches have been made, and demands for political change have been articulated.
Organizers have made it clear that the protests will not stop, and they see the nationwide protest on June 27 as a key moment for expanding citizen participation and strengthening pressure on the government. According to them, the mobilization will continue until the protesters' demands are met.
