The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime is in the process of reconstruction, with the aim of modernizing the premises and building new courtrooms according to the American model.
According to Euronews Albania, part of this investment was financed by funds from the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets, i.e. from assets obtained from criminal activity.
The works are in the final phase and are expected to be completed by September 15, when the resumption of court proceedings in this special court is also foreseen.
The investment aims to increase security and efficiency in the development of important criminal processes against corruption and organized crime.
