The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, will be questioned tomorrow about the 4 murders that occurred during the protest of January 21, 2011.

In the official letter sent by Meta to SPAK, he requests to be questioned as a person in the know as he has information that is not known by the investigative group.
In 2011, Meta was deputy prime minister, while Sali Berisha was the country's prime minister.
The January 21 protest occurred after the publication of a scandalous video between Ilir Meta and Dritan Prifti. The 12-minute video showed a bargain between Deputy Prime Minister Ilir Meta and Dritan Prifti, a minister at the time, for 700,000 euros in exchange for concessions and licenses for a hydroelectric power plant.
