The State Cadastre Agency has condemned the serious case of violence against the journalist of the "Stop" show on TV Klan, Domenika Bajraktari.
In a reaction on social media, Cadastra says it completely distances itself from any act of violence against media representatives while performing their duties.
The Albanian Press Agency says that the person who hit the journalist is not its employee.
" In the meantime, we are reviewing all footage managed by security cameras and, if violations by private guards are found, legal and contractual steps will be taken immediately to prevent the recurrence of such cases," the agency's response states.
ASHK expresses its confidence in law enforcement institutions for investigations and the establishment of justice according to the law.
"We believe that the work of journalists is an important element for informing citizens and maintaining institutional transparency. The State Cadastre Agency assures the public and the media that it will continue to guarantee access, respect and mutual cooperation in every information process ," their response states.
The incident in question occurred when journalist Bajraktari and her film crew were at the General Directorate of the Albanian Anti-Corruption Commission to follow up on a citizen's complaint. But she was faced with physical aggression and numerous obstacles. The aggressor has been identified and taken to the police.
