PSG has reacted after its latest defeat in the championship, returning to victory in Ligue 1. The Parisian team convincingly triumphed 3-0 over Nantes at the Parc des Princes, in a match that came to an end.
The absolute protagonist was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who scored two goals, one of them from the penalty spot. Desire Due also sealed the victory with a third goal. With this success, the team led by Luis Enrique leads the standings with 66 points, four more than the closest follower, Lens.
In Spain, the situation is more complicated for Atletico Madrid. The Madrid team suffered its fourth consecutive defeat, losing 3-2 to Elche in the 32nd week of La Liga.
Atletico took the lead in the 10th minute through Niko Gonzalez, but the home team quickly responded by overturning the score with goals from Afengruber in the 19th minute and Andre Silva in the 33rd minute. The latter scored from the penalty spot, after a foul in the area by Tiago Almada, who was also sent off. The first half ended in a 2-2 draw.
In the second half, Elche found the decisive goal in the 75th minute, again through Andre Silva, securing an important victory in the fight for survival. After this result, Elche climbs to 15th place, while Atletico Madrid remains in fourth place with 57 points.
