Blind bullet took the life of a 16-year-old footballer, the club reacts

A stray bullet killed 16-year-old soccer player Miguel Nazareno in Guayaquil. The circumstances of the incident are still unclear, while Ecuadorian authorities have launched an investigation.

According to reports, Nazareno was part of the youth team of Independiente del Vale, one of the most popular football academies in Guayaquil. The football club reacted after the news that Nazareno tragically lost his life as a result of the insecurity in the country.

" The Independiente del Vale family expresses its deep sorrow for the untimely passing of Miguel Nazareno, a player from our Independiente Juniors team. Your memory will always remain in our hearts ," the club wrote.

Miguel Nazareno played as a midfielder and striker, and was considered a promising talent for the future of Ecuadorian football.
