Former national team player, Redi Jupi, was critical of the way this sporting event is being hyped with very strong security measures, which could actually affect our national team.
Jupp said ironically that Serbia should not be rolled out a red carpet, as they will not do the same in the return match in Belgrade.
" This is more like the return match than the one we played in Belgrade. There was a media terror about the match in Elbasan. Serbia beat us cleanly here without any problem, without causing any concern. They are suppressing the fans with measures. Measures are an obligation. A good organization cannot be seen as a success. A mistake made in an important match, in a derby, is very important. We made a mistake in the psychological preparation for the match in Elbasan. We did not put them in difficulty.
All this media coverage with 2,500 police forces, it looks like a war. The less these are published. I personally find the presence of the police annoying. The order can be ensured without a presence. I don't want to pave the way with a red carpet for this match. The control to go to the stadium was stronger than to go for a visit to the prison. In Belgrade, we won't have such a comfortable pre-match and match ," said Jupi.
