The striker of the Sudtirol team has started the new season as a starter and today has reached the quota of 4 goals scored, but as many as the Shpendi twins have scored with their respective teams.
In the away match against Padova, where Merkaj was a starter alongside national team defender Frederik Veseli, the striker left his mark with a precise header that beat the opposing goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, to give the team the advantage.
