In fact, the dismissal or rather the agreed departure of Roberto Bordini was decided after a long meeting between the coach and the leaders of the white and blue club. The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour, took place at the club's premises and focused on the analysis of the team's recent performances. Tirana's leaders have expressed open dissatisfaction with the way the team has performed in recent weeks, while they have requested an immediate reaction.
According to “Panorama Sport” sources close to the club, the dissatisfaction started after the match with Teuta, increased after the one with Vllaznia, and culminated after the loss with Elbasan, where the situation finally “exploded”. After that match, Bordin had a very harsh discussion with the team, where he openly criticized the players for their lack of character and concentration. He even held captain Mahamadu Dembele accountable, describing him as one of the players who should set more of an example on the field.
At that very moment, a strong clash occurred between the coach and some of the main players, which accelerated the decision to part ways. After that, the leaders analyzed the situation and concluded that the cooperation with the Italian coach could no longer continue. To avoid further tensions, the parties chose the path of agreement, officially ending Bordini's adventure on the white and blue bench.
