Mirlind Daku is shining at the start of the season with Rubin Kazan and this has not gone unnoticed by major European clubs. The national team striker has scored five goals and provided one assist in the first five matches between the championship and the Russian Cup.
According to Telegraf, Fiorentina have started contacts with Rubin Kazan regarding the transfer of the 26-year-old. The 'Violets' are preparing for the departure of Moise Kean to Saudi Arabia and see Daku as the ideal replacement. Sporting director Daniele Prade has also held talks with the player's agent, Shkumbin Qorrmemeti.
Although Daku recently renewed until 2029 and is the Russian club's highest-paid player (2 million euros per season without bonuses), an offer of around 20 million euros could convince Rubin Kazan to let him go.
Fiorentina's interest remains open, while the last three weeks of the transfer window are expected to be decisive for his future. In the past, Daku has also been sought after by Zenit St. Petersburg, while there were offers from Turkey, which he rejected in order to stay at Rubin Kazan.
