Tim Civeja is officially a Karlsruher player for the upcoming Bundesliga 2 season. The 24-year-old Albanian midfielder was introduced by the German club through an announcement on social media, where he appears signing the contract and posing with the new team's jersey.
Karlsruher welcomed the player with an appreciative message in the official communication:
“ High intensity, great willingness to run and a nice approach to understanding the game. For the new season, we sign 24-year-old Tim Civeja. We wish you a successful time with you, Tim .”
With this transfer, Civeja closes a three-year experience at Saarbrücken, a team with which he played 116 matches, scoring 18 goals and providing 14 assists. The last season proved to be the most productive for the Albanian midfielder, who scored six goals and provided seven assists.
Born and raised in Germany, Civeja has spent his entire career in German football. He made his Bundesliga debut with Augsburg when he was just 19 years old and has been considered one of the most promising talents of Albanian origin for years.
At the national level, Civeja initially played with Germany U-19, but then decided to represent Albania, wearing the U-21 national team jersey.
The transfer to Karlsruher represents an important step in his career, as he will compete in Bundesliga 2 for the first time, a category higher than the one he played in with Saarbrücken. The club and the player aim for this collaboration to mark a new stage of success in the Albanian midfielder's career.
