Saudi Professional League leaders have been interested in signing Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior for a long time and are closely following the growing tensions between Real Madrid and the striker.
According to talkSPORT, Saudi officials have prepared a record €300m (£261m/$351m) bid for the Madrid striker in the event of a dispute between Vinicius and the club.
Furthermore, the Saudi Arabian side is ready to offer 1 billion euros (£870 million/$1.2 billion) for a five-year contract for the two-time Champions League winner.
The Saudi leaders were previously left disappointed when Kylian Mbappe rejected their massive €300m bid. There is a gut feeling that another star player needs to sign for the Saudi League, and with Al-Ahly winning the Asian Champions League last season, the plan is for the club to land the much-deserved big signing.
However, Vinicius has publicly stated that he wants to continue with Real, but his demand to be the highest-paid player at the club raises uncertainty about his future. The Saudis know that a deal will be difficult to reach, but are optimistic that if not now, a deal can be reached later, perhaps by the 2027-2028 season, when the Brazilian will still be in his prime.
Real Madrid's talks to extend Vinicius Junior's contract until 2030 have stalled. With two years remaining on his current deal, the Brazilian forward is demanding a whopping €30 million, including a renewal bonus, which would make him the club's highest-paid player.
However, Los Blancos are reluctant to meet this request, especially given his recent dip in form, particularly in the Club World Cup where he struggled.
