After finishing a very good season on a personal level, but not for his team, with Empoli relegated to Serie B, the future of our national team defender Ardian Ismajli is still in question.
According to Italian media, it is most likely that his next destination will not be Italy. Rumors reported earlier have been reinforced today, as the national team defender is being sent to Besiktas.
The end of his contract with Empoli and his performance last season make him one of the most sought-after players by the red and blacks. Napoli have been monitoring Ismajli's situation for a long time, but have not been able to concretize anything with Empoli, at least for the moment.
Renewal is an impossible matter, as Ismajli has long rejected it. Therefore, in these conditions, a move for the red and black defender to the Turkish Super League is not a destination that should not be considered.
For several weeks, the Besiktas team has been interested in Ismajli, so it is expected that in the coming days the club's leaders from Istanbul will intensify contacts with the player's agent.
If this transfer is confirmed, Ismajli will join Ernest Muçi. Of course, if the latter does not transfer elsewhere during the summer, given that the future of the red and black fantasy player seems to be unclear at the moment.
