This Tuesday, at 21:00, the second leg of the Italian Cup semi-final between Inter and Como will take place at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan. The first leg between the two teams ended in a 0-0 draw, leaving everything open for today's challenge, which will determine the finalist.
This duel comes just a few days after Inter won 3-4 away against Como in Serie A, which makes the match even more attractive.
Coach Cristian Chivu will face two key absences, with defender Alessandro Bastoni and captain Lautaro Martinez out through injury. Inter are on the verge of winning the Serie A title and are aiming to add another trophy to the season, something they have been missing since the 2009-10 season, when they achieved the historic treble under Jose Mourinho.
If they reach the final and win their tenth Coppa Italia trophy, Inter are expected to earn around 30 million euros, a significant amount of revenue after being eliminated from the Champions League. This amount includes bonuses, ticket revenue, advertising and a bonus for participating in the upcoming Super Cup.
On the other hand, Como aims to make history, as it has never reached the final of the Coppa Italia before.
Possible formations:
Inter: Martinez; Akanji, Acerbi, Augusto; Dimarco, Zielinski, Calhanoglu, Barella, Dumfries; Bonny, Thuram
Coach: Cristian Chivu
Como: Butez; Kempf, Ramon, Diego Carlos; Valle, Da Cunha, Perrone, Diao; Baturina, Paz; Douvikas
Coach: Cesc Fabregas
