FIFA has announced the names of the referees who will officiate the first four matches of the World Cup, including the opening match between Mexico and South Africa.
Brazilian referee Wilton Sampaio has been entrusted with the task of refereeing the inaugural match. He will be assisted by compatriots Bruno Pires and Bruno Boshilia, while Colombian Nicolas Gallo will be in charge of the VAR system.
