Albanian weightlifter Enkileda Carja has made an extraordinary performance at the European Weightlifting Championships, becoming the protagonist with two new records for young people in the disciplines of snatch and doubles.
In the clean and jerk, Carja lifted 103 kilograms, a result that secured her a new European record for this age group. She continued her high-level performance in the clean and jerk, where she lifted 123 kilograms.
Records and historical results
Thanks to these results, the Albanian athlete achieved a total of 226 kilograms in the two events, setting another European youth record. This performance is considered one of the best in the history of Albanian weightlifting in international events.

The Albanian Weightlifting Federation described the achievement as extraordinary, appreciating the athlete's dedication and high level in the international arena. According to it, Carja's success contributes to the growth of Albania's image in European sports.
International assessment
In addition to her sporting results, the 18-year-old from Elbasan was honored with the title "Rising Star of Europe 2025" by the European Weightlifting Federation, an award that confirms her potential and prospects in this discipline.
