The Albanian national football team will play two friendly matches during the month of June, as part of preparations for participation in the Nations League, which starts in September. According to information made public, both matches are expected to take place in Tirana.
In a conversation with the media, the president of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF), Armand Duka, provided details on the potential opponents, emphasizing that these are teams that have failed to qualify for the World Cup.
According to Duka, one of the matches is close to being finalized, while negotiations are ongoing for the other.
" June friendlies? The first one is with Luxembourg in Tirana, but we haven't signed the agreement with them yet. Then we are in discussions with many teams for the next match also in Tirana. It could be Chile, Denmark and some other team ," he declared.
The head of the AFF also clarified that some rumored options are not part of the current talks.
" No, Italy, we haven't even talked to Italy. These are the ones we're discussing. We haven't talked about a friendly with Kosovo ," Duka added.
