Laçi's team in the First Division this season will be led by Italian coach Stefano Senigallezi. He replaced Portuguese coach Rui Amorim, who unexpectedly left the club just two months after taking office.
But the Italian coach, who in his career has only managed in the lower categories, explained that such an adventure in Albania should have started last year after he had been in talks with Laçi.
" I had been looking for an adventure outside of Italy for a while. I was supposed to come here last year but then nothing happened. Now it has become concrete ," he told Italian media about the adventure in our country, which he sees with great optimism. " The feelings are good but I need some time to understand the situations. But it is undoubtedly a high-level adventure, professional football ," he continued.
" They were relegated unexpectedly ," Senigallez says of Laçi. " Moreover, at one point they were fighting for European participation, then in the last few weeks there were many losses. In the last two games, one point was enough for them, but they lost both ," he said of how Laçi was relegated from the Superiore.
