21-year-old striker Brajan Gruda has put an end to rumours of a possible future with Albania or Kosovo. In recent days, it was reported that the player could change national teams, due to the high competition in the German first team.
However, a recent post by the footballer himself on social media has clarified the situation. "Always proud to play for Germany. A small setback, but happy with the results. I'll be back soon," Gruda wrote on Instagram.
This stance is interpreted as a clear signal that the Albanian-born talent is not considering any other options than representing Germany. He is currently part of the Germany U-21 team and is expected to aim for a call-up to the first team, under coach Julian Nagelsmann.
