Ruled by the planet Venus, those born during the season of Libra embody all of those characteristics. They are charismatic, intellectual romantics. And like their symbol, the scales, Libras constantly strive for balance.

Since Libra is ruled by Venus – the planet of pleasure, beauty and love – her personality leans heavily towards these characteristics. Libra is often social, charming and artistic.
Montúfar describes many Libras as physically attractive and loving individuals. They have a penchant for harmony and are kind, often taking on the role of peacemaker.
"They really need to feel that sense of peace," explains Montúfar. This makes Libras smooth negotiators. Their love of harmony can however backfire, sometimes leading to people pleasing.
"They are afraid to say something that will upset the atmosphere," she adds.
Libras are also very classy and go through life in a sophisticated way, says Montúfar.
Career
Libras are often at the top of their field, says Montúfar. The sign's friendliness and ability to be around people for long periods makes them masters of networks.
"They are very good at dealing with people," she adds. “Networking is their thing.” In the workplace, they're the type to have countless connections on LinkedIn, jokes Montúfar.
Libras also make good managers as they are measured and can stay level-headed.
Libras tend to commit to long-term relationships, says Montúfar. The sign rules partnerships, and those with Libra suns work best when they are with someone.
It's rare to see a single Libra, says Montúfar. Libras usually need someone to mirror them as they realize their sense of individuality.
Libra goes well with other air signs: Gemini and Aquarius.
Strengths
Libra is both optimistic and idealistic, says Montúfar.
Since Venus' job is to bring pleasure, love and beauty, signs ruled by the planet are more likely to look on the good side, she adds.
Libras are also more aesthetically inclined. They are great with website design or interior decorating tips. Their homes are often elaborately designed and have artistic features.
Libras tend to be intellectual and empathetic. Their love of harmony makes them fair, gentle and good listeners.
Weaknesses
However, Libra's desire for balance is not always ideal. It can make the sign indecisive and overly calming. Libra's need to hear both sides of the story leads them to what Montúfar calls "analysis paralysis," resulting in an inability to make a decision.
If a Libra is not in this state of balance, things become difficult and strengths can turn into weaknesses.
