A woman who lives in Hollywood and has been dubbed the "Queen of Ketamine" is one of five people charged in connection with the death of actor Matthew Perry.
The announcements were made by the Los Angeles police in an emergency press conference in which they revealed that behind the death of the actor there was an entire criminal organization that provided ketamine and drugs to people other than the actor.
Jasveen Sangha is accused of selling ketamine and other drugs to celebrities. She was very active on social networks, often writing about her expensive vacations in different countries.
41-year-old Sangha and another person were arrested on Thursday. Sangha faces charges of possession and distribution of ketamine and, if convicted, could face 10 years to life in prison.
NBC reports that Sanga was also arrested last March on a federal drug offense unrelated to Perry's case. She was eventually released after posting $100,000 bond.
She had been selling drugs to various clients since 2019 and had a home in North Hollywood where she lived and stored the drugs.
Despite knowing the dangers of their use, the Sangha continued to sell drugs. It has been reported by judicial authorities that in August 2019, she sold ketamine to Cody McLaury just hours before his overdose death.

Officials investigating the case explain that Sangha and another defendant, "were more interested in Matthew Perry's profits than his health."
