Famous actor Jackie Chan revealed that his mother would never watch an entire movie of his because she couldn't bear the thought of her son getting hurt during the action scenes. As she explained, she would leave the room or turn off the TV before the end because she didn't want to see the falls, bumps, and dangerous accidents that, although staged, caused her emotional distress.
Speaking to People to promote his new film, Karate Kid: Legends, the 71-year-old actor explained that his mother, Li-Li Chan, who passed away in 2002 at the age of 86, couldn't stand seeing him do dangerous stunts and get hurt.
"She would start watching the movie, maybe watching the first credits. As soon as she saw me doing acrobatics, she would turn her back. When I hit someone, she didn't want to see it. When I was beaten, she couldn't stand it. She never watched an entire movie," the actor said.
