Model Angela Martini is officially single again. The Albanian beauty has filed for divorce from her husband, Romanian actor and producer Drago Savulescu, ending a marriage that lasted seven years.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Martin filed for divorce in Los Angeles County District Court on Thursday, setting Oct. 24 as the official date for the split. The documents cite “irreconcilable differences,” a standard term that refers to the end of a relationship due to deep differences between partners.
From this marriage, the couple has a three-year-old son, Kyree Martini Savulescu, for whom Angela is seeking joint legal and physical custody. The model, who has been living in the United States for years, has also requested that her ex-husband pay her spousal support, noting in the documents that their marriage began in December 2017.
The news of the separation came as a surprise to the public and the couple's followers, who only a few weeks ago had seen Angela and Dragan enjoying a luxurious vacation in Europe. The pair, who have often shared moments together on social networks, had even announced a film project based on their love story, a story that was expected to bring to the screen how love helped them face Savulescu's legal challenges with the Romanian justice system.
Martini and Savulescu became one of the most talked-about couples in the world of international showbiz. She, an Albanian model who built a career in America, and he, a Romanian businessman and actor with strong connections in the film industry, were often presented as an example of a love that defied boundaries. However, after many years of living together and their movement between the US, Switzerland and Italy, it seems that their relationship has reached a point of no return.
