Kurti congratulates Peter Magyar on his election victory in Hungary

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has congratulated Tisza Party leader Peter Magyar on his election victory in Hungary. In a post on the “X” platform, Kurti said that Kosovo welcomes the support of Hungarian citizens for the values of the European Union and expressed readiness for cooperation.

"Congratulations to Peter Magyar on his election victory in Hungary. Kosovo welcomes the support of the Hungarian people for the values of the European Union and we look forward to working together," Kurti wrote.

In the April 12 elections, Hungary's current Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, lost the right to win a 5th consecutive term as Prime Minister, paving the way for the victory of the Tisza party leader, Péter Magyar, who is expected to form the new government in Budapest.

Orban, who has led the country for 16 years and is running for a fifth consecutive term, accepted the election result and congratulated his opponent, calling the result "clear" but "painful" for his party.
