Kosovo Assembly adopts resolution on the truth of the war, Serbian List leaves
Assembly of Kosovo

The resolution proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo for the protection of victims and the historical truth of the war was approved in the Assembly on Friday.

By consensus, the parties decided to discuss the resolution after the statements outside the agenda. The Democratic Party of Kosovo, as the proposer, indicated that this resolution aims to condemn all initiatives that distort the historical truth of the war in Kosovo during the years 1998-1999.

The resolution on the protection of the historical truth of the war was supported by the government and other parliamentary parties, except for the Serbian List, which left the hall. This document was approved with 90 votes to none and no abstentions. The resolution was drafted after an exhibition in Pristina Square, authored by Shkëlzen Gashi, presented inaccurate data on the massacres in Kosovo.

This resolution also includes a point to initiate punishment of those who deny or minimize Serbian crimes.
