After massive protests that have spread nationally and across borders, Edi Rama has been dealt a heavy blow within the Socialist Party. Marjana Koçeku, also known as "Neo Malësorja", has announced that from today she will be an independent MP.
The volcano within the Socialist Party has shown the first signs of awakening. While there have been earthquakes, smoke and gases for a long time, today 'lava' has erupted within the SP. Shkodra MP Marjana Koçeku, known as "Neomalsorja", has resigned from the Socialists' party and declared herself independent.
"From today on, I am an independent MP. My ideals and values are those that I have had and expressed since before I was associated with a party. They define my boundaries ," she writes on social media.
Koçek's decision is a 'knife' for the prime minister, coming at a sensitive political moment, as the country has been engulfed in protests against his government for days. Koçek's departure from the Socialist parliamentary group is clearly a signal of dissatisfaction within the majority. Although the MP herself has not provided further details on the concrete reasons for the decision.
So far, there has been no official reaction from the Socialist Party regarding the MP's statement.
Koçek became one of the most commented figures in politics after her public engagement and candidacy under the Socialist Party banner, while she will now continue her parliamentary activity outside the majority group.

Ja nje komentues qe vjen nga TEMA antishqiptare te qelbet edhe ketu. Mos u fsheh pas emerit te Fishtes se Madh. Ik andej te TEMA, se aty festojne e qelben lirshem te gjithe klyshet grekoshkije, vorioleshet sllavomongol.

Nuk po i ngrohen morrat patronazhistëve ?.Vetëm at Fishtën paskan huazuar nga pirgu i ndyrësirave të Temës të ish qenit të Berishës (me këtë emër e njihnin deri kur Tajvanin e morri tjetër kush Rast shumë i rrallë kur qeni nis e kafshon ish të zotin.
