The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, during his stay in the United States of America, today visited the American school in New York City, PS108 Philip J. Abinanti, which is applying the Albanian-English bilingual academic program for the first time.
Praising this unique model for the Albanian language not only in the US, but also in the world, Begaj emphasized that it represents a valuable investment for the entire Albanian-American community.
" For the first time in the world, a school with a bilingual English-Albanian duo program has started in New York, at PS108 Philip J. Abinanti School. This program is a bridge between generations, cultures, and nations."
"By creating the opportunity for Albanian children in New York to learn in Albanian, we have given them pride in their roots and precious heritage ," says Begaj.
