Silva Caka, from the ranks of Ilir Meta's Party, will be part of the government from today, leaving behind his life in opposition.
Caka was appointed by Edi Rama to the position of Deputy Minister of Interior. It seems that this position has "lure" her to join the Freedom Party and forget the accusations she has constantly leveled against the Rama government, of which she is now a part.
Specifically, Caka, who once held the position of Secretary for Public Relations at the Freedom Party, in a statement on February 20, 2024, called on citizens to protest against the government led by the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama.
She stated a year ago that the government had broken every promise it made before coming to power and that every Albanian had "a thousand and one reasons to protest."
" If you have even one reason, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem to you, come out and protest! Come out today and protest, come, because very soon that small reason will turn into a very big and insoluble problem. When injustice is caused by the government itself, intentionally, do not hope that they will reflect and restore your right. Be the one who chooses and chooses ", said the former MP of the Socialist Movement for Integration.
Caka is learned to have also left the ranks of the Freedom Party, before taking such a step in her public career.
Previously, Caka was a member of Parliament during the first term of the Rama government when he co-led the coalition with Ilir Meta and the SMI.
She has also been part of the leadership structures of the SMI and PL for years, such as the Women's Movement within the party or the Secretary for Public Relations.
