The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, spoke to journalists this Tuesday about the public positions related to MPs Erion Braçe and Elisa Spiropali.
In his statement, Balla said that he has not heard any criticism, while regarding Spiropali, he said that the decision will be announced later. This is about Spiropali breaking the order by boycotting the session where the issue of Belinda Balluku's immunity was voted on.
" I have not heard any criticism. I want to say that in the SP everyone has the right to say everything they think. It is not without purpose that we have opened a broad analysis process within the SP, where everyone is asked to come and participate until the assembly. As for the ambition of every socialist regarding the future electoral processes, after the decision of the Constitutional Court there are no elections in Tirana between April 15 and May 15, so we will have time. I will inform you about Spiropal when we have the decision ," said Balla.
Balla's statement comes at a time when the waters within the Socialist Party are troubled. Erion Braçe has announced his candidacy for the Municipality of Tirana, openly challenging Edi Rama. He has requested that the Statute be implemented to select the candidate in the upcoming elections. On the other hand, Elisa Spiropali has been very critical since her dismissal as minister.
