Prime Minister Edi Rama held a conversation with entrepreneurs, where he focused on the role of the construction sector in economic growth, employment and wage growth.
He presented this sector as one of the main pillars of economic and social transformation in the country, directly linking it to recent developments in the economy.
During the meeting, Rama addressed the entrepreneurs with an ironic comment about those who support the Democratic Party, saying: " These Democrats work with us, others protest, they are fine, these are comfortable, these get to have fun with Molotov cocktails, and they also build and make money."
Among other things, Rama said that Albania is taking steps towards the European Union.
"The European Union is a transformation process, those steps that the European Commission certifies us, are not letters, but the transformation of reality. Those who talk about an Albania gripped by corruption, are gripped by their own throats by anger at success. Those who talk about corruption that has increased should listen to you, corruption cannot increase when you pay 14 million euros in taxes. When corruption was higher, you paid much less taxes. 14 million euros in taxes and corruption do not seem to go together," said Rama.
