Prime Minister Edi Rama continued his tour of meetings with pensioners in Berat, where he promised not only the indexation of pensions, but also their real increase.
Rama said that there is corruption in Albania, but there is no more than before, while he stated that there is no blockage in the negotiation process with the European Union.
"The negotiations are not blocked, you heard the EU ambassador to Albania, he does not work for the Albanian Government and if there was a blockage then he would have said so. No one said that the process would be closed at the end of March, the negotiations will continue in April and May, and it will be a great success to close them within this time. So how can it be said that the negotiations are blocked?" Rama said.
While considering Albania's integration into the EU as a national mission, the Prime Minister stated that it does not matter at all who governs in this country to fulfill this dream of Albanians.
" They told us in Brussels that no one had ever made one side go to Brussels and ask for the negotiations to be blocked because they had a dispute with those in power. Neither the Macedonians, who were on the verge of war with each other, nor the Montenegrins did it. They can say anything in Albanian, but no one has done it in a foreign language, as happens with the opposition here, who go to Brussels and say block the negotiations. These have fallen to us and we have nothing to do ," said Rama.
Regarding the accusations of increased corruption, Rama said how is it possible to collect more money from taxes and say that there is more corruption, or how is it possible to have greater economic growth and more corruption than before. "Wait and you will see, within a few days we will have the European Union report, they certify everything, they put everything under a magnifying glass" , Rama warned.
He said that the Government does not intend to be disoriented by the daily and nightly charade, while it is determined to realize all its projects and promises.
