The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, received today, June 8, the Speaker of the Parliament of Croatia, Gordan Jandroković.
During this meeting, President Begaj praised the strategic partnership and the very good and friendly relations with Croatia, driven by shared foreign policy priorities and the same vision of both countries for the future of the Western Balkans.
"An important role in strengthening these relations," emphasized the President of the Republic, "has also been played by the inter-parliamentary cooperation of the two countries."
The Head of State emphasized Croatia's continued political support for accelerating Albania's membership in the European Union, as well as technical assistance, sharing its experience and expertise throughout the accession process.
"Your path towards membership in the European Union continues to inspire us, showing that determined reforms, guided by a clear European vision, bring tangible results for citizens and the entire region," emphasized the President of the Republic during the meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Croatia.
The Head of State also underlined Albania's commitment to fulfilling the goal of full membership in the European Union, noting the concrete results of the reforms implemented in recent years, which have been recognized by European partners.
"As Albania has entered a new and decisive phase, the focus will be on closing chapters and finalizing negotiations," emphasized the Head of State, expressing his conviction for the unwavering support of Croatia and its parliament.
"Good neighborliness and a cooperative spirit looking to the future are essential for a secure and prosperous region," emphasized the Head of State.
In this context, President Begaj expressed that Albania appreciates the commitment to supporting Kosovo's full integration into regional and Euro-Atlantic structures.
