The leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, commenting on the DP's request for a recount of votes in Tirana, stated that there is no chance that their second mandate in the capital will pass to Berisha.
He stated that they cannot rob him of his mandate at the table, while guaranteeing supporters that their vote will not be affected.
"Two mandates. Two votes of confidence. Honest. Unquestionable. And no one will take them away. No one. What they are trying to do is a robbery. Another desperate attempt by the old parties that do not want to change."
"You can't shout about an electoral farce, and then steal a mandate on the table. This is hypocrisy. And it won't happen! We've said it before and we're saying it again: your votes are not affected. Every vote for the Opportunity Party is a vote for change, and it will not be affected, it will not be alienated, it will not be stolen," Shehaj wrote in a post on "Facebook".
We recall that the Democratic Party requested a recount of votes in Tirana in the hope of snatching the 1 mandate from 'Mundësia', which would be won by Ilir Alimehmeti.
