Current Democratic Party MP, Dashnor Sula, commented on the DP's loss in the last elections, criticizing the strategy and composition of the candidate list.
Sula revealed that he had guaranteed Flamur Noka 10,000 votes in the districts of Peqin and Belsh.
He emphasized, invited to the News24 studio, that the DP is not listening to the voice of citizens and criticized the current party leaders, suggesting that the opposition should support SPAK, as the Special Structure is seen as hope by citizens.
Dashnor Sula: I was neither on the open list nor on the closed list of the DP. Flamur Noka called me on his cell phone. I asked him to be in Peqin and guaranteed him that I would receive over 10 thousand votes. Peqin ended with 2300 votes and in Belsh with 1,500 votes. I voted for a person, I did not vote for a party. I expected this result. I warned on July 26, 2024, I said it in parliament, I said Rama has won the elections and risks winning with a qualified majority. This happened because of a miserable Code, which Sali Berisha also made with the people around him. The closed list of the DP does not produce votes, because they have worn-out figures. You can lose the match 1:0, but when you lose 5:0 or 10:0 in football, then you have nothing to ask for, because you have a weak team.
The DP no longer listens to the voice of the citizen. Sali Berisha promised me that he would defeat Rama. But he cannot defeat Rama. Sali Berisha has never accepted losing the elections. These are not extremely stolen elections. The Democratic Party today has problems. There are those in the DP who do not answer the phone. The problem with the DP is that the opposition is divided, some people have occupied high positions without even deserving them. We have the vote of extremist militants. The three people who lead the DP are Sali Berisha, Flamur Noka and Albana Vokshi. Berisha should not be the candidate for prime minister. The DP should have a bigger ally, SPAK. Many democrats know that they are losing. Sali Berisha is not the one from 2005. After 2005, we have not won any majority of Albanians.
