The 44th day of the civic protest, which for more than a month has kept thousands of citizens on the streets of Tirana every day, ended this evening, in what began as a reaction against the project in Zvërnec and turned into a revolt against the government of Edi Rama and the entire political class.
After marching through the main streets of the capital and along "Gjergj Fishta" Boulevard, the protesters returned to where the rally had started, in front of the Prime Minister's Office building, closing the 44th day of resistance.
After speeches by activists and citizens, the square was once again filled with chants of "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison", "Free the boys" and "Revolution", while at the end of the rally, the protesters gave the message that the movement will not stop.
At the end of the protest, thousands of citizens unanimously chanted "More tomorrow!", announcing a return to the square the next day, with the aim of further expanding participation.
During today's rally, the organizers declared that the protest will continue throughout the summer, without any interruption, until September, inviting citizens and the diaspora to continue to be part of the resistance.
With this message, the 44th day of the protest ended, as citizens met for the following evening, promising that the revolt would continue until, according to them, their demands were met.
