The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has made strong accusations regarding the properties recently seized by SPAK as part of the investigations into the group linked to Dritan Gjika, Eldi Dizdari and Shpëtim Aliu.

During a press conference, Berisha stated that the group, accused of trafficking around 50 tons of cocaine during 2020-2021, has invested in the construction and tourism sectors through companies that he said were used to launder drug money.

The opposition leader focused on a plot of land in Jale, which he claimed was purchased by Isa Aliu at a very low price compared to the real market value. According to Berisha, it is about 15 thousand square meters of land purchased for only 54 thousand euros, or about 3.2 euros per square meter.

He also mentioned a project to build a five-star resort in Jale, claiming that the companies involved in this investment are among the entities targeted by SPAK as part of money laundering investigations.

Berisha added that this data raises serious questions about the way properties are acquired in one of the most coveted areas of the Albanian coast.

"The latest crackdown on the Dritan Gjika, Eldi Dizdari, Shpëtim Aliu group has led to the confiscation of a multitude of assets and companies, mainly in the fields of construction and tourism, that were used to launder drug money.

At the head of the money laundering was Isa Aliu, the brother of Salvador, Shpëtim, the central figure supplying the Dizdari-Gjika group, responsible for trafficking 50 tons of cocaine during 2020-2021 alone.

Among the seized properties, among others, the seizure of properties belonging to a construction project that was being developed in the Vunoi area stands out.

All real rights to the real estate acquired by the entities Seaview Development and Aliu Road House through the notarial deed of completion of works for the construction of the Zig-Zag hotel, with five stars and over 200 rooms, in Jalë, Himara, for which the Navalno Group company has taken over the co-financing of 40 percent and the construction permit from the AZHT, it is stated in the announcement made by SPAK for this hotel.

Our research shows that Seaview Development is a subsidiary of the Aliu Road House company and applied for a building permit at the AZHT on April 29 of this year and was 41st on the discussion list.

But what stands out is that the land that Isa Ali bought on the seashore in Jalë is at extremely low, ridiculous prices.

Isa Aliu purchased this area of ​​cadastral land with an area of ​​15 thousand square meters for only 6 million new lekë, or at the current exchange rate, he purchased it for a total of 54 thousand euros.

It costs 3-4 euros per square meter.

Namely, property number 3614, 4400 square meters, cadastral area 3844 was purchased for 1 million 760 thousand lek.

Property number 33615, 4200 square meters, cadastral area 3844 was purchased for 1 million 680 thousand lek.

Property number 33616, 6600 square meters, cadastral area 3844 was purchased for 2 million 560 thousand lek.

So, as you can see, nearly a total of 15 thousand square meters of land purchased for only 400 lek per square meter or 3.2 euros per square meter.

"Look where the land was purchased for 3.2 euros," Berisha said.
