Former DP MP Ervin Salianji has spoken about the possibility of cooperating with Arlind Qori's Joint Movement in the early elections for the Municipality of Tirana.
Salianji emphasized that ideological divisions do not play a major role in these elections. “ These are administrative elections for which agreement can be found even with parties that ideologically disagree with us a little ,” he said. According to him, Qori himself has also mentioned that the system is rigged and that there is a regime, causing ideological lines and traditional divisions to fade into the background of the need for unity.
The former MP underlined that the priority is to overthrow the Socialist Party, making a comparison here with the Labor Party, and after this objective, the best way to act can be discussed with all parties. " There is a time when you unite and a time when you divide. Let's overthrow the Labor Party once and then discuss with each other what the best way is ," said Salianji on "ÇdoKënd" with Merita Haklaj on A2 CNN.
He also emphasized that the DP should accelerate negotiations with other parties and find agreement on a common name, avoiding individual calculations and focusing on winning the elections.
