"The political battle is not won by blackening Albania", Rama attacks

Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the opposition's accusations of money laundering in the construction sector, during a meeting with entrepreneurs in this sector. He described these claims as unfounded and criticized the way his opponents conduct politics.

In his speech, Rama emphasized the important role of construction in the economy and the difficulties of entrepreneurship.

"They don't understand what it means to give 700 salaries a month and give them every month, and increase them and continue giving them... they don't understand what it means to build a company ," Rama said.

He also said that criticism of the sector comes from a lack of recognition of economic reality.

The Prime Minister accused the opposition of using foreign media to damage the country's image, adding that such practices do not help in winning the political battle.

"They need to fill 2 hours of television... and Albania is in trouble. Is the political battle being won by supplying foreign media with mud? Isn't it being won by paying journalists and paying foreign portals to spread mud," he said.

Rama also brought to attention examples from countries in the region, emphasizing that according to him, the oppositions there do not act in the same way.

"There was almost a civil war in Macedonia... the opponents of the government... did not go to Brussels to put down and raise their country. They did not go to Brussels to put down and raise each other and seek the punishment of Montenegro," the prime minister said.
