"Berisha is the past", Rudina Hajdari: He must resign, the DP has no

Rudina Hajdari is one of the first voices among the Democrats to openly demand the resignation of Sali Berisha from the leadership of the Democratic Party, after the disappointing results in the May 11 elections.

According to her, as long as he is at the head of the DP, this party will not move forward.

" We have a shrunken DP. I don't see a future. As long as Berisha is at the helm, the DP will only have a past and not a future. With Berisha's resignation, there will be other developments. We are talking about a party that has turned into a party that is about the individual and not about ideas. Berisha has people around him who obey and listen to him ," said Hajdari.

While describing Berisha as the past that keeps loyal people around him, former MP Hajdari said that the May 11 elections were a step backwards and accused Prime Minister Rama of doing anything to maintain power.

" May 11 showed that democracy in the country does not work. It is unfortunate. Even today we have remnants of communism and we are not able to overthrow them. Even today, political leaders have similarities with those we fought hard to remove. Rama uses all possible ways to stay in power. The system must be changed and the DP should have made a greater effort to change it. The electoral system is the genesis of all things. It is unprecedented how Rama strengthens from mandate to mandate. These elections were a regression, the gangs collaborated with the government. The DP should have had a consolidated program against organized crime and should have shown the problems they would encounter during the elections ," Hajdari said on A2 CNN.
